Mobile Response

If a crime is reported, employee misconduct is uncovered, or a computer security breach is detected, some form of incident response occurs.  The initial function of the incident response is to determine the nature and scope of the incident and keep it from getting any worse.  If there are computers or other digital devices involved it may be necessary to begin the protection and examination of those devices as soon as possible.  Sometimes it is possible to deliver the computers or devices involved to our lab for examination, but in some situations the lab must go to the device.

Employee Misconduct or Internal Investigations
Often, when investigating employee misconduct or conducting some other kind of internal investigation, businesses or other organizations want to keep the investigation process confidential.  It is then necessary to process the computers or devices involved on site, and often after hours.  NTC Forensics has the equipment needed to image or duplicate digital media or devices virtually anywhere.

Civil Litigation
In civil litigation a computer or other digital device is often the subject of discovery proceedings.  Access to the device may be limited in duration and require that it be done on site.  Our professional technicians can image the devices in question with minimal disruption to the environment, and provide multiple copies of the images.  We can also provide logs of the work performed and allow third party observation to insure the integrity of the process.

Criminal Investigations
When possible criminal activity is being investigated it sometimes involves collecting and/or imaging computers, cell phones and other devices or media.  We can provide onsite imaging and device processing to law enforcement or regulatory personnel who are serving a search warrant or inspecting records.  We can also acquire images and process seized devices without removing them from police custody.

If you have need for on site processing or forensic examination of computers or other devices call NTC Forensics.  We are available to participate in incident response or by appointment.  We can be reached 24 hours a day at (915) 544-2034.
